Kyiv, Ukraine – President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially introduced Colonel Oleksii Morozov as the new Head of the Department of State Protection. The announcement was made during a formal meeting with the Department's staff, where the President outlined the strategic vision and key responsibilities entrusted to Colonel Morozov. Emphasizing the critical need for patriotism within the institution, President Zelenskyy stated that the foremost duty of the new Head is to ensure that the Department is staffed solely by patriotic specialists. This move is seen as essential for maintaining the integrity and security of the nation's key institutions, particularly during these challenging times.

The Department needs to modernize its structure and operations to meet the requirements of wartime," President Zelenskyy remarked. "Colonel Morozov has carte blanche to implement these changes. We need new approaches to working with personnel — without sovietism. The modernization plan includes enhancing the combat and mobilization readiness of the Department's personnel and adopting innovative recruitment strategies. Key initiatives also involve improving the Department's material and technical resources, as well as its training facilities. One significant proposal is the creation of a dedicated training ground and a modern specialized Center for Training Security Specialists at the Institute of the State Protection Department. Of course, the Department must be cleared of all those who have not chosen Ukraine or who discredit the Department of State Protection," Zelenskyy asserted. "Your task is to ensure the security of the key institutions of our state. I thank everyone who fulfills this task with absolute integrity. In response, Colonel Morozov expressed his gratitude for the President's trust and commitment to achieving tangible results. He appealed to the Department's staff to support the transformation efforts and the implementation of new initiatives.

I will justify the trust placed in me with actions, not speeches," Morozov declared, signaling a new era of proactive leadership within the Department. As Ukraine continues to navigate the complexities of wartime, these reforms are poised to strengthen the country's defensive capabilities and institutional resilience.
