 GAZA CITY – In a decisive operation, the Israel Air Force (IAF) struck two schools in Gaza City, which were being used as hideouts and operational bases by Hamas terrorists. The schools, identified as the "Alqahirah" School in Al-Furqan and the "Musa" School in Daraj Tuffah, had been covertly transformed into hubs of terrorist activity.

    According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Hamas operatives utilized these educational institutions to plan, direct, and execute attacks against IDF troops stationed in Gaza. The schools provided a strategic advantage for the terrorists, leveraging their location and civilian status to evade detection and retaliation. Prior to launching the airstrikes, the IDF undertook extensive measures to minimize civilian casualties. These included conducting thorough aerial surveillance, employing precision-guided munitions, and integrating comprehensive intelligence operations. These steps were part of a broader effort to ensure that only the intended targets were affected by the strikes.

    The Israeli government has long accused Hamas of systematically violating international law by exploiting civilian infrastructure and populations as human shields. The use of schools, hospitals, and residential areas for military purposes has been a point of contention, drawing condemnation from international observers and complicating the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
