IDF Targets Hamas Operations at Islamic University
By Charles Hawes, Capital News
Tel Aviv, Israel - In a significant military operation, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), supported by the Israel Air Force (IAF), struck a structure within the Islamic University in the Sabra area, identified as a hub for Hamas terrorist activities. The targeted building was reportedly used by Hamas operatives to launch anti-tank missiles and coordinate attacks against IDF ground troops. Extensive precautions were taken to minimize civilian casualties, including thorough aerial surveillance before the strike. Despite these efforts, the incident underscores the ongoing challenges posed by Hamas's use of civilian infrastructure to shield its military operations.
IDF ground forces are persisting with intelligence-driven, precision strikes in the Rafah region. Over the past 24 hours, these operations have resulted in the elimination of several armed terrorists and the destruction of multiple terrorist infrastructure sites. IDF troops identified and dismantled numerous tunnels used by Hamas for militant activities. In response to projectile launches targeting communities near Gaza, IAF fighter jets carried out strikes on military structures located near the launch points in Gaza. These strikes also targeted terrorist infrastructure, weapons storage facilities, and operatives in central Gaza. The IDF remains committed to neutralizing threats and dismantling terrorist networks while taking measures to protect civilian lives in the conflict zones.
